In the 2021 competition, the best innings I photographed was by Stoke Green's Gagan Singh, who scored a whirlwind century with effortless ease. The 2020 competition was, of course, affected by the Covid 19 pandemic. During August, I was fortunate to photograph a sequence of close games. Milford Hall scraped home by 1 wicket against Pelsall, and were indebted to a 9th wicket partnership of 46. In the August heatwave, Tiddington knocked out former winners Shipton-under-Wychwood by 2 wickets. Dumbleton appeared to be coasting to victory at home over Milford Hall, until Milford's Stuart Phazey scored a remarkable century - Dumbleton were relieved to win in the last over. In a tense low-scoring quarter-final, Colwall's bowlers helped them to a 9 run victory against Dumbleton. Colwall went on to win the cup final. In 2019, I had photographed one of the best games in that year's competition, at Frocester; it was a real seesaw contest, which went to the last ball with North Perrott winning by 1 run.
